Oh ya. The EA81 was the good motor. The EA82 is the one I try to forget Subaru ever made.

Tapper! How's things! A new addition to the family is coming soon, eh? Congratulations! Sorry to hear you won't be coming on the 10th

How is that XT? I'm surprised you still have it. I would like to have a project car............

Jeff: We did have a blast. Very hazy though. Sky Bright at LCI let us borrow their courtesy van. We took it for a spin to Weirs beach. Very nice. Saw some Lake Renegades on the ramp on our way out. Returning home at 4,500 ft. was marginal VFR due to haze/low clouds. It eventually got worse, forcing us down to 3,500 near Sterling (where we encountered a lot of gliders). It was strange....it didn't seem so bad on the ground, but in the air it was crazy! I'll bring pics to the meet.

Dave
The XT is more of a parts car. I'm sorta lookin for an XT-6 in decent shape.

I picked up another SVX that I am working on. Not sure if i am going to sell it or what?

I hope the meet goes well. I'll be at the next one for sure.

Dayle is out of stock on a bunch of things . I attempted to place a big order withhim but he's out of practicly everything I want. I guess he doesn't keep alot in stock since not alot of us are ordering.

Cool May 10th Meet!

Hello everyone. We are expecting to start around 11:00 am,
we'll begin feeding everyone around noon, David will take everyone out for a cruise, probably to scenic Dresser Hill (beautiful area) for ice cream, then back here for pictures, Q&A session with Jerry Costa. Jerry has 25 years Subaru expierence and probably knows more about repairing SVX's than anyone in the country(NO exaggeration).

If anyone is interested in a free 25 point inspection please call us at 1.800.969.7822 so we know how many to expect. Inspections will be from 8:00 am to 11:00. In the past some WRX owners have shown up, I hope thats ok with everyone! I have several original SVX training tapes, would you guys want me to raffle one of them?

Regarding WRX

Dave,
I know in the past you've only wanted SVXs, but I think we should embrace our Subaru brethren and invite them too. I personnally think they are much like us and love the car for all its uniqueness as much as we do, specifically the WRX. Certainly anyone with sn STi is welcome too!!!

I'd love to own one, but only in ADDITION to my beloved SVX.

It's beginning to look like I may not be able to make it... I don't know for sure yet, but I may be outta town on that weekend.

I will miss this annual rite dearly if I cannot.

God! I gotta get up flying soon....

Jeff

Will the 25 point inspection look at the trany? Mine needs to be looked at . I took it to shaler Subaru in New Britain and they told me there was nothing wrong with it. When it has a 2nd to 3rd slip.

Cool 25 point inspection

This inspection is an fairly good look at the car, but cannot substitute for a in-depth diagnosis. However, remind us when you come in and Jerry (shop foreman) will probably tell you what you might need. Has the fluid been changed in the last 30,000?
That's the first place to start. David

I don't know when the last time it was changed.

I had the trany pan gaset replaced and around 65000 mile by a dealer so i would think they added a lot of fluid.
i now have 84000 miles on it.
