My room is reserved for saturday night as well. I should get there around noon. Looks like a small gathering, like Snowshoe I.

Ron, don't sit too close to the fireplace.. Those wine boxes ignite fairly quickly

Yes, Don, and as a compliment to my tastes in fine vino, I'll trust you to bring the cheese. Remember, nothing pretentious, so please, no Velveeta, OK?

TIA, Ron.

Okay, we have Harry, Ron, Don, and John coming. Enough for a poker game, huh! Unfortunately, my son Kyle will be unable to get there until Sunday morning - he has to work on Sat.

Any other takers?

As for the weather. Yep, it is supposed to be cold with the possibility of snow showers. If that be the case, only the die-hard autocrossers will be running. And guess what? A lot of Subaru's. I don't think I can catch the WRX's, but it would be fun to have Subaru, 1,2, and 3, wouldn't it?

See ya there - with warm clothes!
Harry

Hey, maybe street winter tires & conservative driving will win this thing! Yup, I think Don should definately run the course. He's got all them new drivetrain parts to break in!

Oh - Rufus!!! Where are you? As well as all the rest of you fearless mountaineers. Come on folks, we need five for a good high-low poker game.

SIGN UP!!! Ron.

I'm here, and I'll be there... just not sure when yet. It's looking more and more like early Sunday morning at this point, so I'll probably have to wait for another time to take all of Ron's money at the poker table... and make no mistake about it, I will be rolling home with several weeks worth of Ron's wine budget in my pocket when that day comes...

Winter autocross

Sorry guys, I'm not a card player. My last game was "Old Maid" in elementary school...

As for snow at the autocross...I will bring the Swift GT shod with Blizzak's. I have PLENTY of experience taking mountain roads in the winter.... Don

NEWS FLASH - WX Report

As accurate as wx reports can be, the new forecast says it will be a chance of "snow showers" Friday night, but both Sat and Sun will be a "little nippy" (like in the 40's). So it doesn't look like much slipping and sliding on Sunday due to the wet / ice - just pushing the car too hard.
BTW, if you have the little FRS walky talkies, bring them. With only a hand full of SVX's (5 to 6), we shouldn't have too much trouble keeping everyone together on the short drive Sat afternoon - except for Ron when he detours for a "box".

And yes, bring your heavy winter coat...... Where is Maria when I need her?

Oh,no! Several weeks worth? Geez, at $7.49 a box that's......ummm. OVER 40 bucks! I'll see that bluff & raise you a shot 'o chablis.

Come on DOWN! Ron.

You guys be careful and have lots and lots o' fun. Believe it or not, I had planned on "sneaking" up in the Evil Twin on Saturday and surprising everyone. Unfortunately, I have an appointment to get a bearing changed on Saturday, so, I'll have to abandon that idea. I sure am needing a Meet "fix." Of course, I'll be hanging out at Beav's shop, so, the weekend won't be a total loss.

Well then, Randy, I suggest you drop that failing bearing baby off at Beav's place, & both of you white-knuckle it northward in his SVX for the 1st annual Sno-drift Autocross n' Spin event. Besides, I'd like Beav to examine my solenoid A problem while I hang out at a cozy fireplace whilst teaching SVXphile the joys of poker.
Looking forward to seeing you guys - Ron.

Now Randy! That was a very weak excuse, cause we all know you have TWO SVX's, and you can't drive but one at a time. Right?
Leave the one with Beav - we know he'll take good care of it!) and drive the other one to Winchestee. See, that wasn't so hard, was it? Ron will even share his "box o'wine"........

So now that we have figured it out for you, we'll see you there?

BTW, for all that will be attending, I think I have a nice drive through the hills of western VA for us planned. Just have to watch out for the deer and dears ....... I'm thinking of about a two hour drive Sat afternoon - sound about right?
Harry

Two hours if it snows, three if it rains, four if the mercury hits 70 degrees! Hey, Harry, I'm gonna do a desperation post in the main forum. Maybe we can round up a straggler or two.

Ron.
