Back Home
We arrived home safe and sound Monday evening about 8:00pm.
Thanks to everyone for making it a memorable meet. For the statistically minded - Toatal miles travelled was 2,218 (To Morgantown was 975. Trip home was 1,108) overall mpg was 24.37 (high of 26.24 - low of 23.09). On our return trip we made a stop to visit friends in Nazareth, PA - Mario says hello to everyone. Then we headed up to Syracuse, across to Buffalo and crossed into Canada over the Peace Bridge and stopped for the night in Stoney Creek, Ontario. We finished the journey on Monday with rain all the way. So now we're looking forward to Laffayette in July. See you all then.

Where do i start??
well, first of all i would like to say sorry for having to leave early.....there were some things going on that day that i couldn't miss. i met a lot of you and i am glad that i finially did, even you Mark i wish that i could have met more of you. i also wish that i could have gone on the tour.
i would like to thank Randy for his nice, sweet, wonderful, adorable, cute, fuzzy, ........comments. and for refraining from making silly comments on my purple streetglows. Doug and Lwin, thanks for the antenna fix job....even though it took you away from Randy's speech... and Lwin again for the speaker-my stereo is now complete(just added a box and an amp-soon to have a head unit) and the hat. congrats on the car again...! the friday night in John's room was nice, i got to know a few of you better...even though i, i, i....well, i was there. boys should learn how to fight nicely! it was fun seeing the people's faces as they drove by on friday in the parking lot..(The Ford meet is over there buddy) i survived the ridicule of the window sticker and as i have said before "it is there whether you like it or not, you're just jealous!!" so hopefully everyone had as much fun as i did. i hope to see all of you next time......i am thinking about the big 10th still.... Kelli,
Hope you enjoyed the engagement party. Gary (MoreIBNR) had a good idea. He wants to have another West Point (NY) SVX Meet. I agree. I think we should deck out our cars in red, white and blue and tour the Hudson Valley. Routes 9E & 9W are quite scenic in that area. I think we could get the NY, NJ, PA, Conn, DE (me) & MD SVXers to come. There was also some discussion of an Atlantic City SVX Meet. Maybe Aredubjay can bring his fuzzy dice? |

Hi everyone!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it back home Sunday afternoon approx. 3:30 PM - a total of 875 miles for the weekend... Robin and I had a great time finally getting to take our SVX to a meet and John was very relieved to make the round trip to one without the price tag of a new transmission added in!!! We really enjoyed our time with all of you and are looking forward to Lafayette (we are not absolutely sure at this time if our work schedule might be a conflict). We will know a little more as the time draws nearer... Thanks to all for your hospitality, advice, etc.... again -- it was a great time... |

What a great meet!
Just another post (my first was on the other thread) to say thanks to everyone for making the meet so memorable. Cruising along surrounded by a beautiful group of SVX's, just to be passed by.....ANOTHER fleet of beautiful SVX's! Eyeballs making contact, with "What the heck?" written all over them.. Beautiful draft horses breaking up the newly plowed ground. Some of the most beautiful farms I have ever seen. SVX's with purple glow beneath, chrome wheels, and fuzzy dice! And the greatest coed fraternity since the creation of Eata Bitea Pie...
------------- < and stopped for the night in Stoney Creek, Ontario> Colin and Irene: It was great to get a chance to chat with you both at Reading! When I was a novice ham radio operator back in '66, my first contact out of the USA was with a Canadian ham from Stoney Creek! It was at my home in Tennessee with 75 watts from a Heathkit transmitter into a homemade wire dipole, CW (Morse Code), a Heathkit receiver that I built myself....ah the thrill! Jean was able to see the Battle of Britain Flight fly over at the Queen Mother's funeral on TV this morning. A Lancaster, and two Spitfires she said. When we saw them years ago I remember a Hurricane in place of one Spit. I was able to watch a bit of the procession before I left for school. I was fortunate to get to see the Queen Mum once when I was off work in downtown London. Don Last edited by SVXphile; 04-09-2002 at 06:50 PM. |

Randy, I didn't say you looked fat!!! I said: "You looked thinner in the pictures. " Mike heard that too, right? It didn't mean you look fat now. Hopefully, next time, I'll tell you: You look fatter in the pictures. Good to eventually see you, too. That was my pleasure and pressure.
