rear strut mounts

Where is the cheapest place to get these? There is a good chance that mine are bad and I will find out soon when I install my springs. Thanks.

I was just thinking about ordering a set myself today. Since your car has been on the West Coast, I'm wondering how badly rusted yours would be. It might be worth doing a visual inspection before deciding to buy. If you jack up the car, pop off the rear wheels, spray down the strut mounts with a hose, and then wipe them down, you should be able to feel/see if they are badly rusted. There will be more rust on the top of the mounts, but you ought to be able to see it on the flared rig too if there's any.

I called a few wrecking yards hoping to get just a rear strut mount, but they would only sell me the entire strut assembly. You may want to check that on your own though. I may have just called the wrong places.

If you want new, either subaruparts.com, 1stsubaruparts.com, or Kerven are going to have the best prices.

here's a price

I just ordered two of them through Kerven at a cost of $72 and change each plus $5 shipping.

I had no idea that mine were bad until I had both struts out and I started tapping the "surface rust" off. I made several large holes in one doing this. Hmmm, I should post a pic of that.

Hope this helps,
Jay

Yeah, my car sits almost as low as that one in the back. And the front is up significantly higher than that one.

Re: rear strut mounts

Wrong part no. According to the dealer part number this one is the correct number 20320PA011

Re: rear strut mounts

You may want to ask your dealer what the difference is. It may be that they revised the number in recent years for a part that is also used on another model. When I installed Konis on my SVX and I ordered new mounts, they accidentally sent me two identical rights (of which I still have this one).

I just d your part number and it comes up as the FRONT mount - https://www.subarupartsdeal.com/part...0320pa011.html

Googling my part number shows it as the REAR mount - https://www.subarupartsdeal.com/part...0361pa000.html and is discontinued.

Re: rear strut mounts

You’re correct. Got the same Google result. Lists $101 new. I’ll do the same. $20 for the helper. Return for full refund?

Re: rear strut mounts

Why would you need to return it?
