Re: fs 1992 subaru svx show room condition 52k feeler only
The car looks excellent! The pricing seems fair given the condition and mileage of the car. Although the wheels aren't exactly my taste, the rest of it looks great!

Re: fs 1992 subaru svx show room condition 52k feeler only
I would like to post a feeler! Who would like free candy? No, you can't have any, I'm just curious if you want some.
I never understood the point of feelers. Seriously, why? You either want to sell your car, or you don't. What happens if someone sees it, likes it, offers you what your asking, and you say no? If you would say yes, it's not a feeler, the car is for sale. If your trying to get an idea of hte value of your car, why not post "what's a fair value of my car" in the general section? Not only would it be more appropriately titled, but you'll get more traffic because most people visit general, not as many in the for sale section unless they're looking in the for sale section.

Re: fs 1992 subaru svx show room condition 52k feeler only
Jay,
I posted a feeler for my bordeaux because I wanted to see if there was any interest. Especially since not many people are buying SVXs. If I didn't get much interest I would wait a little longer before I posted it for sale. As the car sits now...if someone contacted me and offered me the right amount I would sell the car. But, for the most part I wanted to see if there was any interest. This is how I interpret the phrase "feeler" in terms of selling cars.

Re: fs 1992 subaru svx show room condition 52k feeler only
Isn't that the point of listing something for sale? If there's interest, and the price is right, it's for sale. Listing it is by no means a binding contract. I've seen many cases where things go up with "feelers" to have the seller back out when offered his asking price. To me, it seems that folks want to know if they are asking a high enough price. "I want to list my car for 5k, but what if I could get 6k for it? I'll post a feeler, if people jump all over it, i'll list it for $6500 and see what happens." has been the vast majority of this sort of thing. If you'd take your asking price, then why not just say "For sale. Firm." Is there any difference? Putting up "feeler" gives the buyer a way to cop out if he changes his mind, or thinks he could get more money out of it. "oh, i wasn't really gonna sell it, i just wanted to see if anyone wanted to buy it." and then relisting it later. I've seen it a lot on other boards, less here, and it's generally irritating to the community once it becomes more frequent, and I'd hate to see it come full blown here. It's especially more likely here since there isn't a real solid "value" of the svx, being one could go for 10k one day, 3k the next, for virtually the same car.

Re: fs 1992 subaru svx show room condition 52k feeler only
I might be interested! Do you still have the car? I know you have done some mode that require your asking price. First I do like the condition of the car body. But I'm not really interested in the subwoofer, amps or the 19' chrome wheel packet.
I bought a 97 svx with 52K in 2005 for much less than your asking price ($9500). Let me know if the price is nego. Thanks, Larry |

the subwoofer and amps can easily be removed i will leave the headunit and upgraded speakers in the car you will not find a better conidtion svx then this one, it does have a small rust spot its the the size of a quarter it was there whene i purchsed the car and cant be seen that is on the sunroof there are no dents on the car the few that it did have was from door dings which i paid some one to pull them out i can knock off $400.00 with out the the subwoofer and amps, i do have the factory rims and tires but they are very old and the tires will have to be replaced, they are dry rotted and 2 of them are bald but they will be good enough for you to drive on to get you buy for a few weeks or a month for new tires i can minus 1,000 off the rims/tire package thats abought what i can sell them for off ebay, i would prefer selling the car with the rims, less hassel trying to sell them and ship them i would let it go for 8,000 with out those 2 items PM me if you are intrested, |

Re: fs 1992 subaru svx show room condition 52k feeler only
You may want to reconsider; the new WRXes are spinning rod bearings, needing a new long block and time at the shop (Subaru is paying, but is it worth the trouble?). Info at this nasioc's thread.
P.S. I wished I had known you when I used to live in Orlando last year; I thought I was the only SVX down there until I saw another Pearly, not such in good shape. Quote:

Re: fs 1992 subaru svx show room condition 52k feeler only
Can you take a picture of the rust spot on the roof? I need to know what I'm dealing with. If there was no rust (perfect body), then 8k is close but with rust, I have to consider and factor in what it cost to repair this problem. If I purchase the car the rim and tire you have on now would be better since I'm located in Las Vegas, New Mexico. That is a long drive for the factory rims and tire. Show me the picture of the rust spot and I will evaluate this further.
Thanks, Larry Also my email address is larryhopper1967@yahoo.com |

you cant see the rust spot, its on the verry edge of the sunroof the prevous owner put a small piece of vynll to cover it, i would have to rip it off for you actually see it,, if its a big deal to you i can have it easily repaired, there absolutly no rust spots on the car !! if your serous on buying the car i will take a pic of every single panel at a angle and interior shots i lowered the price considerably, and you wont find another svx like this one, the side skirts i ordered from dayle was $ 1,000.00 alone not including the paint !! along with the clear headlights and HID lights, i still have all the recipts including the 8,400 recipt which i paid for the car i also put another 800.00 into it for a new timming belts, front main engine seal and cam seals, this was 8 months ago |

Solar,
This is a "dream SVX". Well worth your asking price. Good luck with the sale. Whoever ends up with this car will be one lucky SVX owner.
