California SVX?
I just recently found out the SVX I bought last week was originally sold in CA. Are there any horsepower robbing emissions things on there I might be able to eliminate?

I've never come across anything that Subaru did differently for SVX's destined for California. As far as I can tell, they all met CA emissions.

thats what i thought too, but in the back of the drivers manual they had a section for service specifically on CA spec SVX's. Why would the service for them be different if the car wasn't? You know what I mean?

I think that is for service in case it does not meet the emission test. I have never heard that there was anything different for the ones sold in Cali than other states.

I think California has laws regarding the service intervals of certain parts (like timing belts). That's probably the reason for the CA service chart.
