Well, I for one like it. And I will probably end up buying one in a couple of years. Either that or a Mitsu. Lancer Evolution. Im not sure yet. As ugly as it may be, I'm sure that it is just amazing when you take it for a ride. I don't care about the styling, as long as it is fun to drive.

I think the dealers in Texas have an optional kit that bolts huge steer horns to the top of the hood scoop.

I have these vintage Chock-Full-O-Nuts ("The Heavenly Coffee")coffee cans that I've been saving as collectors items. Maybe I can find a way to attach them to the ends of the exhaust pipes.
I better not weld them on. You all knlow the problems when welding dissimilar coffee beans (Brazilian & Columbian) together.

Instead of the coffee can, which will not give the required deep manly sound, just order a piece of chromium plated stove pipe to attach to the rear so that people know you don't stinge on emissions, nocturnal or diurnal.

its not as pretty as an SVX, but its no Aztek, either. i'm not extremely concerned about the outside looks, because i would be IN the car driving it, not posing for pictures with it. it has a purposeful, "don't f**k with me!" look to it.....and the bang for the buck is unbelievable!!!

although, if i DID get an STi, i would have the dealer substitute the low-profile WRX wing and something for those gold wheels-the wheels are REALLY ugly!

Sorry guys , but i would dump my girlfriend for this car. I love the look of it, the pictures dont give it good enough props. The Spoiler has been used on the rally car since nearly day one of the WRC experiment. Subaru claims functionality, and also claims that with the design you can see out the back window better..(i.e like a mkiv supra )

Hummm--wish that 6 speed would bolt up to the SVX mtr. Would have to make a little more horsepower with the engine to fully use it--but not a problem.

I appreciate what they have done to the WRX, but it definitely not my kind of car----A 4-DOOR 300HP CAR????????? Nawwwwwwwwww

I'm gonna go against the norm here and say I really dig this car. It certaintly isn't as sexy as the SVX but it doesn't want to be either. That car is a road/dirt/snow eating machine. This car looks mean. The gold rims and spoiler are a STI tradition no where related to the racerboy craze. Watch WRC the wheels and the wing is there.
As far as seeing the young hat to the back kids driving it with loud stereos...Id say no that car is called the SRT-4. this car is a limited production (approx 4-5k to the U.S., sound familiar) Rally inspired STI. And it will probably go for 32k that is a bit out of the average racers price range.
Whats also exciting is that not only the fact that its not a watered down JDM version, but a better version. extra 30 hp and torque.
Oh there is a video of the car running on one of the STI sites soundes like a Porche not a weed eater.

I am a big fan of subaru rally racing and i know the gold wheels and the wing are signature parts...but all i am saying is if subaru is creating a 300hp powerplant with a 6-speed behind it...where is the more upscale version with more looks than just performance....i would buy the tiburon GT V6 over the STi because of the looks and the nicer interior. If i am gonna have a car it must have looks before power..you can always add more power but you cant add looks.
