Scott doesnt have a svx. He is just a SVX wannabe. He's my best friend, and that just required him to be on the network... you know, since i'm addicted.

Oh, man! A poser... What a let down I've seen a few SVXes for sale around here lately Scott. Go run out and get one now. That's an order!

If you would like any help when the time comes for you to actually purchase your SVX (it's gonna happen someday) feel free to look me up. I'd be happy to assist you in scouting out a good one. The more you stick around with the board the quicker that day will come.

HEY!!!

A wannabe... A poser... I'm offended... From hanging around with Mike I probably am more SVX literate than a lot of members here... not to put anyone down . I would just like to say that a SVX may not be in my future anytime soon. I just don't have the money that it requires to service the transmission . HAHA.

BTW Johnny,
That SVX is on the South side of Bethlehem in the parking lot of the plaza with Superfresh, Radio Shack, and Subway, every weekday. He/She must work at one of the places near there. You should visit it!

Don't worry 'bout it, Scott. One of our more prominent members (Jamsvx) was a great contributor to these forums for a couple of years, all the while driving 'round in a Camry. He just recently purchased his SVX. There's still hope for you.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I would love it, Kelli, but my car is in the shop getting a new tranny installed. Might not have it for a couple or three weeks yet

How about SuedoVXers? That's a tough one to come up with a nickname for.

How about a name for us previous owners who wanna be owners again. Looking forward to some responses. BTW my tercel is running just fine and about to hit 300,000 kms with no signs of tranny or wheel bearing failure.
I was close to getting another SVX before Christmas but unfortunately the corporate scrooge my wife worked for saw fit to lay off some people (including her) less than a month before Christmas. Now she seems to think the money should be spent on food and the mortgage and I can't seem to convince her otherwise.

re: this time and age

Keith, you wife is right. I would net compromise a home and well being for a SVX. Go with the flow and when the econ gets better, then splurge on a SVX by getting the best one you can find and restore it. I'm going to look for a body shop today to try to restore this baby to it's former glory! I'm glad I'm single, no kids, low morgage, and cheap ass hell (expect on Alcy tho. the camry is jealous, probably why it just died on me lol)!

Some spouses just don't get it do they?

As for a nickname for former owners? How about... SVXers...once an SVXer always an SVXer. It becomes a part of you and flows in your blood until the day you die!

I am new at this and not too sure what I am doing. I was real glad to see other owners from PA listed. I just spotted an SVX in South Williamsport this week. I was wondering if owner is active here. I would love to find someone close to take short road trips with. And I promise that I will never put ugly wipers on my baby. She is perfect just the way she is.

Welcome to the club, Chellie! I think you will find this to be a wonderful place to hang out and learn all about your SVX. Our members make the best resource you'll ever encounter for most any issue you could possibly have with your car.

How far from eastern PA is Allenwood? I too am always on the lookout for a local SVXer to hang with and assist. Hope to see more of you on the board. Be sure to put some pics in your locker so we can admire another work of art

Welcome Chellie. I second what Johnny said, but I live in Washington State and a little too far for a road trip with you.

If you have questions, ask, and you will probably have more answers that you want. There is a search option here that is very usefull and will give you many answers as well. It is especially good when you have a question and don't have much time to get answers. Just about anything you could ask probably has been asked before. Don't let that fact keep you from asking for help or advice. Again - Welcome to our family of SVX Lovers.
