As of right now, my bugeye is running reflector-based headlights because I sold my v7 headlights a week before getting these, but I am in the process of retrofitting a second pair as we speak and should be in by Wednesday.

Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

I'm very interested in seeing more pics of these. I like this idea a lot.

Have any comparison to stock pics?

Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

Update:

Our CREE kits just got better
More LUMANs per bulb and brighter output
INSTANT on of course youd expect from LED
I put them in my Low and High beam and like them as
much as my HIDs if not more.

Retail about $155 per kit
unless you buy 2 kits, then they are only $135 per kit.

this pic is of the H4 bulb, but you can get the idea.
1 yr warranty on all the parts, but working making them 5 yr.

Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

Ive seen the kits out there improve alot just in the last yr
think most companys are on Gen 5 now..
One thing I have noticed, even on our best kit at around $100
these days, the same kit seems to work better with non projector
headlights. Weve sold about 50 kit in the last few months to a variety
of cars and suvs, and have only had to take a few kits back that
customers werent 100% pleased with and almost all those customers
had them in vehicles with projector factory low beams.
A few Svx customers and various other cars. But the return rate has
only been like 20% which still isnt bad. We swapped them out for HID
kits too. I think there are still alot of variables to be considered too
when using them. And not all buyers expecatations are the same.
As far as longevity etc, our Gen 5 kits have had little to no returns with
defects etc, which has been a good thing.

Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

So HID is a better option than the LED's in our SVX projectors?

Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

about 20% of the buyers stick with HID..
1 outta 5 ...just depends on the person I guess.
LEDs are immediate start up, which everyone loves..
color 6k white is great. I also think it depends on if
they have their lights aimed correctly too.

If anyone buys our LED kit and doesnt like it, they can return
it within 10 days aprox in exchange for anything else.

we stock alot of LED bulbs for the interior too

NO, neither option is "OK to bolt-in and go." This is the WRONG way to upgrade your headlamps. These parts are NOT NHTSA approved, they DO NOT conform to any FMVSS, and are illegal to install in all 50 states... For a reason.

hate to burst your bubble, but Ive legally been selling HIDs for over 12 yrs
and LEDs for the last 6m with huge success and as well as very happy customers as long as you install 4300-6k Kelvin, you are ok.

Re: the newest thing NOT HID / but LED

Just because you can sell it, does not mean it is legal to install and run. You can sell catalytic converter deletes, and O2 sensor simulators, and other emissions system delete pieces. However removing or tampering with ANY emissions systems on a car is a federal crime and illegal.

Not to knock your business or website, but being allowed to sell something, and being allowed to install and run something are two completely different things.

I personally wish they were harder on inspections with HID and other headlight mods. Where I live about 70% of the crappy cars here and 90% of the trucks all have blue HID kits installed in reflector housing headlights, and fog lights, and make it hell to drive at night.

The only CORRECT way (still not technically legal) to install HIDs is to actually retrofit an HID projector housing into a headlight. Even installing HIDs into a halogen projector does not give the correct light output because the optics in the projector were designed for a halogen bulb.
