HID light bulb spacers?

so i bought an HID kit online and tried putting it in but i notice that it seemed impossible to adjust the light to the correct position...if you are sitting in the car it looks like a V of light with the point of the V where the front license plate would be and then it spreads out form there...so after about an hour of trying to adjust i was taking them out with them still on i noticed that if i pull the bulb out a little bit the beams seems to be right where it should be...

so are there any kind of bulb spacers you can buy or does anyone here have some?

Re: HID light bulb spacers?

Are the rubber O-rings on your old bulb and your new HID bulb the same size?

Peel it off the old bulb and add it to the new HID bulb, sliding it down as far as you can. Should help to hold it out further.

Never seen this problem before. What brand of kit? High-quality bulbs fit exactly like OEM. My Lavalux kits were $199.00 each.

Did you order 9005s, or 9006s?
Our low beams are 9006s.

PS check the tags on the bulb wiring to see what you actually recieved.

Re: HID light bulb spacers?

son of b!tch i didnt even notice until just now but you have to really look for it...they say H1 on them the box says 9006 but on the bulb itself very tiny letters says "H1"...the box doesnt say a brand unless "RS type" is a brand

i cant even return them...they got me good

Re: HID light bulb spacers?

H1 bulbs should not even fit; they are a totally different socket.

Our 9006 bulbs are considered HB4 bulbs. Look very closely at the bottom of your headlights, it is cast into the lens, under the projector.

Re: HID light bulb spacers?

What it looks like he did is glue an H1 bulb into a 9006 socket or something because on the top next to the bulb it says H1 but under it on the little tabs it says 9006 on 1 and then 2 on the other

Re: HID light bulb spacers?

What are you going to use the H1's for?

Low beams are HB4 (9006)

High beams are HB3 (9005)'

Fog lights are H-3

I don't believe the H1 and H3 bulbs are interchangeable. the electrical connection is different.
