I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Mine looks nothing like that, no wonder she doesn't have a birthday.

The VIN should get you the model year, if there was some confusion.

My SVX was assembled in 07/92 but not registered (sold) until 12/93.

Some JDM 4WS models that were assembled in 91 were not sold until 94/95.

The 4WS proved to be more troublesome than the transmission and very expensive to fix.

On another note, this is a reply from FHI in regards to a repair claim by a Japanese SVX owner after his transmission failed:

"As the transmission used in the SVX is not an original Subaru component your claim for a transmission repair/rebuild is declined"

I know the year, but not the month, seems like the UK cars have a different format of VIN plate

Vin#'s

Earthworm,
The Baja we saw was #58 because SIA made 57 "Pilot" (test) vehicles before producing that one. Therefore not all vehicles that come off that line (or any other) start with #58.

Dave

p.s Mine was made 2/95
