Friday Drive to Yuengling Brewery

Here is the basic time frame for the Friday Drive so that anyone who is thinking of doing it can plan accordingly. This is a tour of America's oldest Brewery. The makers of fine PA pee water. It IS NOT handicapped accessible and does require walking on quite a bit of steps. NO open toed shoes are permitted so dress accordingly.

Leave Morgantown Hotel at 10:30am- Matt (Subeman90) will lead the trip but I also think Dave (Hocrest) might go as well. Be sure to have at least 1/2 of a tank full of gas BEFORE 10:30.

Eat lunch at a Pizza/Italian place for lunch around 11:45-12:45 Make sure you have money for lunch with you! Matt will not be paying for you!

Arrive at Yuengling Brewery for the 1:30pm tour around 1-1:15pm.

Tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. There is a gift shop if you feel the need to help the local economy. The tour is free.

Leave brewery at around 3:00-3:15

Back at the Hotel around 4:30

This will be a decent drive into the southern "highlands" of PA with some nice mountain roads. There is also a Cabelas nearby and downtown Pottsville is very scenic for those who want to tag along and not do the tour. Although if going to Cabelas you would need to navigate your trip home alone more than likely.

Hocrest will post directions for those planniing to go to print out before leaving.

That's funny. Talk to Subeman90 as he lives right by a place which rents exotics!

National/Alamo RAC has S80s, Seville STS, and other fairly decent luxury cars. I know Dollar RAC had Outbacks and Foresters not long ago...

No I mean exotics like Lambos, Vipers, Vettes, real Hummers (not Suburbans)

I knew early times would be an issue for some but would rather have everybody back to the hotel to share some of their beer by dinner!

Re: Friday Drive to Yuengling Brewery

Kenneth should rent the viper down the street and we can take turns racing against it on the Morgantown quarter mile and having it kick our granny shifting auto trannys asses.

Ken,

You're doing it wrong! Just close your eyes and swipe the card.
