Re: Where Is The How-To On Valve Cover Gaskets?

removed the coil packs and spark plugs. then remove all the bolts on the valve cover.
it helps to remove the battery, air intake, and washer fluid tank

Re: Where Is The How-To On Valve Cover Gaskets?

By the way how many bolts and seals are their all together, i know their are 6 gaskets, and 20 bolts, i believe, and are they all the same size, or different size bolts. And how many seals, and is it important to get them new or should i use the old ones and should i just get the gaskets and seals? or just gaskets?

Re: Where Is The How-To On Valve Cover Gaskets?

Just buy everything I mention in the first post of the how-to and you'll be set!!!! Also you don't need bolts just the washers. NEVER use old gaskets!!! since your already removing the other gaskets you might as well replace the rest for insurance down the road.

Re: Where Is The How-To On Valve Cover Gaskets?

red im not exactly sure the whole leak is from the p/s hose, i know the gaskets are leaking but they leak oil. My p/s flued is goin a bottle a day, the leak is comming from the back area by the valve cover gaskets, its leaking hard but dont exactly know, i though the p/s flued can only leak from the hose?, thought i had it all in my and now im confused, any other places where it may be comming from, or is it something i dont see?
