Car makes Click Sounds

Every time i drive ahead my car makes a "Click Sound" I guess it's something with the Brakes, cause when i dont use them and get to 0 km/h and then go ahead it does not.

Any suggests would be helpful, maybe its dangerous drivin the car in this way?

Thx says Eddy

Click sound comes from the front (axle). or the shock absorbers/springs.

I guess I have heard of a not very good solution by Subaru fixing the brake caliper. Maybe someone remembers and can make a photo of the weak point.

The brakes sometimes rubbing/vibrating when brakin at higher speed.

Does it happen all the time or just when you turn the wheel?

A clicking sound from the axle (outer front end) usually is just a CV joint.

It could be a loose or sticking caliper. You could have someone watch the caliper for movement as you stop and start. Depending on the open spaces in your rim this could be difficult.

To rule out an axle, find a large empty parking lot and make tight turns in both directions while accelerating. If it clicks about once per wheel rotation it's the axle.

Easy to check the caliper for play...

Wheel off, one bolt out, swing up caliper and try to rock back and forth sideways on the the shaft. If you plan on leaving the caliper swung up periodically, slide the end of a big breaker bar in the hole in caliper with weight in the direction you want it to stay.

OOps, forgot to say block rear wheel on the opposite side and jack up with jack stand for safety.

On second thought, is only relative easy...

Thx for the answers. My technical english is a little poor but I nearly understand everything. As far as I can say its nothing with steering but with Suspension or with Brakes.

@Kwren: I don't understand everything you wrote, but I think you know the weak point of the brake caliper as I described. Maybe you can make Photo?

brake dust cover

i had a ticking on my front right side also. sometimes the metal plate behind the rotor bends in and rubs the rotors edge. it ends up making a "click, click" sound when i drive around but no sound when im still... just take the wheel off and bend the plate behind the rotor about a centimeter away from the rotor and see if it still happens...
