You could've stowed away in the overhead compartment...

Good luck, I hope you make the second one

well at the last minute, frontier switched from a 136-seat plane down to a 132-seater. needless to say, i didn't make yet another flight.

after talking to a couple of people, i decided to try and give it one more go and see if i can catch tonight's redeye. next year, i'm definitely just gonna spring for an actual airline ticket. this standby business is for the birds, i tell ya!

Dude... Just remember this next time...

JetBlue

They fly from Denver, CO to JFK... Everytime I've flown JetBlue, I couldn't have been happier on a domestic flight...

~ Chris

Correction: They fly from Denver to Boston to New York... Then you could have ridden down with some of the NY guys... I know JenSVX was going down there yesterday... Just remember to book your flight about a month out and you'll save TONS... I just checked and they have seats available on the flight that leaves tonight from Denver at 11:3PM and goes to Boston and then on to JFK... Problem is booking this late, that flight is $519... But the return fares are about half as much if you leave on monday from JFK... Looking at about $290...

I felt absolutely positive that the "Meet Monster" had paid me a nasty visit at Reading on Sunday morning... something resembling a punctured oil pan or a loose or missing drain plug.

While preparing to load my car on Sunday, I noticed a very large, wet puddle under my engine and around my left front wheel. I got down to see what it was and knew that it wasn't ATF, because it wasn't pink and that it wasn't my ATE Racing Blue brake fluid.

I touched it with my fingers and smelled it and it was fresh motor oil! I had just changed my oil before Reading. I quickly opened the hood to take a look, but everything looked normal from the top. Svxfiles was over at the hotel entrance talking to someone at the time, so I quickly and frantically beckoned him to come over. While leisurely sauntering over to see me, with his familiar, early-morning, post-Asti INAMP/YF demeanor, he said "This is a long way to walk".

I replied with "It's gonna a lot longer for me to walk all the way back to Westminster!"

When he finally arrived at my car, I put some more oil on my finger and offered it to him to confirm my thoughts as to what it was. He felt it and said " You've got a big problem, that's engine oil"!

I said, "Do you know where it came from and what could possibly have happened?"

Tom said, "I'm not totally sure... it's hard to say without getting under the car, but if I had to guess...

it probably came from the half-full bottle of oil we poured under your car to give you a heart attack!"

"We did this late last night after you went to bed and have been waiting all morning for you to discover it!" And with that he produced the empty oil bottle, with the radiant "hehehehehehehe" smile and laugh that is his alone.

Evidently a few members were either directly involved, or knew about it and kept very quiet. Some of them can fill in my reactions of shock and blessed relief; there may even be a photo or two... I'll let the masterminds describe this in more detail. It still makes me quiver to talk about it!

It's not every day that I am caught at a complete loss for words, Once the blood rushed back into my face i realized that if I was ever destined to be set up to be

This is the best way for it to happen!

You falling to your knees with your face in the grass was priceless. Wish someone had a camera ready. I think more people knew about it than you realize.

HA! Wish I had seen that. We had to leave early that morning to get me on a plane back to college.

Hopefully youguys cleaned it up properly... I mean seeing as that it takes as little as one drop of oil to contaminate a gallon of fresh water...
