Methanol has arrived.....

My methanol injection kit arrived today.... I will hopefully get around to installing it this weekend and hitting the dyno next week.

The line on the left is a 1/4" line that taps manifold pressure and the line on the right is the 1/4" line that runs to the jet.

lol,

I really like the idea of a system completely run off manifold pressure like this one.

kind of installed. I had to run a t fitting off of the brake booster line. Once the ultra black seals on that I can connect the last line. Then put the intake on and fill up the reservoir. I may have to relocate the whole unit because it is sitting too high, but we will see. Regardless, it is only zip tied in place for now and yet to be permanently affixed anywhere.

I'm not too familiar with methanol injection? I'd imagine you'd have to keep filling the reservoir?

If so how often do you have to refill it?

using the largest jet on 18psi you could get in a whole night at the drag strip (about 10 passes). Just driving it aroun it could last as long as you wanted it to as it onl injects when you boost. Drive conservatively and you will never go through a tank, drive hard and it will be used up kinda fast. I am using the smallest jet though and am only boosting 12psi so even seeing the boost while driving I should be okay. I will keep a gallon container of washer fluid in the trunk to refill it anyways......

You mean you're using the smallest MIG welding tip they provided Bargain stuff does work though in a pinch though.

You really should be trying to tune the CC/Min delivery for the exact boost level you're running. you can better tune these system my simply working in very small diameter nitrous nozzles and reaming them out to the appropriate sizes via a pin vise. Multiple small nozzles are always better than one large one. It'll maximize the benefits of any injection system, whether a uber dollar Aquamist or the fully functional backyard $100 kit. Funny thing is most of these backyard kits work just as well if not better in some cases, than these more "techy" injection setups(although Aquamist has thier @#$%@#$ together with their systems :thumsup

good site you should read up on if you haven't already

yea....but it's all dependent on how well the system can atomize the fluid into a mist. .8 bar just doesn't seem logical to do such a task. Most true system runs in the neighborhood of 5 to 7 bar (~70-100psi) to get the fluid to atomize properly. doesn't do much good as a stream.

sicksubie....anyway you can fill that system and put 12psi to it and take a picture of what the fluid does out of the "nozzle"????? I'd like to see the results if possible.......
