Please help front differential problems

here i go i got a 92 svx as a gift from one of my neghbors because she didn't wanna spend more cash on it. the thing is they got a new transmission for it and when they put it in looks like they forgot to put fluid on the front differential. after that they took it to a mechanic that tyr ti take the front differential out to make it a 2 whell drive but ended up making it worse. any help will be apreciated. Do i need to get the whole differential or just the insides??

If I'm reading this right, the mechanic took out your front diff? Any chance you can post some pics?

yea he took some tooth out of the parts inside i haven't had a chance to take it to my mechanic yet beacuse of money problems but hopefully by the end of this week i'll be able to take it to the shop. from there i'll take sum pics n post them up on here so you can guys can help me out.
