1999 Outback Tranny

Ok so my tranny has been bad for a while with slippin and what not; but today is the day it decided to stop working.... I came to a stop and then took off and what do you know... its stuck in first gear

So I found a tranny for a really good deal but will it work

Its a 99 Outback tranny 4WD? I own a 92 LS-L

Please help me guys before the tranny is sold.... I need help cause its a good deal and I dont have money to take it anywhere :-(

An automatic from a 98+ will bolt up but the wiring and TCU are different. It has been theorized that it will work with some wiring manipulation, but as far as I know, it hasn't been done yet.

Well I guess thats kinda good and kinda bad - good cause it will bolt up but bad cause Im not the saveyest in wiring..... If anyone has anymore info that would be great... I need a tranny bad. If anyone has one Ill buy it - Ill buy a 5spd swap too if the price aint too bad.. (Id really love that but who wouldnt
