AC does not work after replacing pulley
My AC idler pulley went bad so I disconnected the belt until I ordered a new one. I finally had it shipped in and placed it. I put the belt on and now my compressor does not come on. Do I need to reset something? I also replaced my high pressure hose on the power steering but I shouldn’t have messed up anything since I was on the other side of the engine from the compressor. The fuse is good. Any thoughts?

due to lack of inactivity the freon might have leaked out make sure it is fully charged. I had a similar problem when the belt broke this winter and due to the fact it was cold i didnt replace it right away it somehow leaked out all the freon but since i have been using it no leak go figure who knows just an idea

Any seals, if not excercised regularly, will leak. Though usually once placed back in service, they'll leak for a bit, then reseat themselves.

All, thanks for the responses. I had left the belt off for a few months - just running the red-neck AC . I'll take it to a friends shop and check the charge.
