Security Alarm System

Does anyone here still use the original security alarm system? Ours never really worked easily or correctly. After setting it off inadvertendly several times we never used it again.

I would if it worked. Tried 2 more modules and it still won't go into programming mode. Holding out for an aftermarket unit I guess.

I have an aftermarket Alarm with internal/external motion sensors installed.

mine is an aftermarket, and it sucks. I have to hold the remote to the glass to get it to turn on/off.

For those looking to add an aftermarket system. I think SVXdc is making up a harness for aftermarket alarms.

Well I don’t have a remote so I just can’t turn my on and off. So I use the key when it does go off but sometime it just doesn't work. The only time that it work when everyone can hear it is when the alarms is on and I’m trying to open the trunk.

I got new batteries, and I also added an antenna to the remote, as the pin for the antenna on the IC chip was going to nothing. Still no change. I'm just going to look into one of those fancy pants 2-way FM systems.

Mine won't go into program mode, either. Anyone want a brand new remote for cheap? I'm going aftermarket.
