Transmisson Problems (again)

Hey, I am still having problems with my SVX. I returned the japanese transmission I got an purchased an American one. However, I have encountered the same problem once again.

I think the problem is that where the transmission mounts on the back is not aligned with the car (this is what I understand from the mechanics). This is a US transmission now. My car is a 95 awd car. Could it be the transmission from a fwd car and that isn't why it is working?

Any help would be appreciated, this is my only car, and I have been unable to drive anywhere in months (and conversly, no job because of this).

FWD and AWD trannys mount using the same mounting holes. He may need to use the crossmember that is currently on your car. If things aren't lining up, it's possible that the PO modified the car??

What is the new tranny from?

Thanks for the response.

The car had a very slight modification on it when I got it, but I don't think it had anything to do with the transmission or engine (it had 44k miles on it when I got it).

The transmission is from Utah, and it was on ebay, which is where I got it.

What doesn't seem to line up I believe is the flexplate, but I am not exactly sure what that means. The person who we bought the transmission from said that the torque converter came out of a legacy, the transmission is rebuilt.
