How to install computer

I bought a used computer to replace the one in my car. Does anyone know how to install it? Any special procedures? Thanks.

Could you be a bit more specific?

Install what? The operating system? Or just set it up and turn it on? Software?

You really dont have enough info here for us to help.

I'm going to assume that you mean the ECU??

-Undo the battery.
-Remove the ecsaine trim under the steering column
-Look up underneath to the left of the column and you will see the TCU and ECU bundled together. The TCU has black plugs, the ECU has yellow
-They are held in place with 3-10mm bolts. It will take a variety of extensions, wrenches and some imagination to get them.
- Re-install, one or two of the bolts have slots rather than holes, so you can getthem started before you put the *CU's in place
-Take some advil and lie flat on a heating pad.

It was funny. It was true he needed to be more specific since there are several units he could have been referring to. With the speed of the ECU you probably wouldn't want to install anything newer than Windows 2.0 on it

Another point - don't worry about using all three bolts when you put everything back together - too much of a PITA and two bolts do just fine.
