Price on a 94 LSI
Someone asked me to get some feedback on a price for them.
The SVX has 120,000 miles and is a 1994 LSI. Only a few door dings and one small dent towards the back as well as a few nicks in the spoiler. Has had the water pump and timing belt changed recently. Is clean inside and out. Good tires, no tranny issues, no oil leaks, runs good and strong. Good glass and all of the options function. It has an after market stereo, but the door is damaged (can be fixed or replaced). Stock wheels. Some records available, but only over the last 2 years or so. This owner is the second owner (4 years). Asking price is around $5,000. Here is your chance for input on the price. I would like to see if your price is close to what I am going to suggest to him. This seems to be a pretty good car, so don't suggest $2,000, I know it will go for more than that. Thanks in advance.

I paid $4k for my '95 L with AWD about two years ago, it had 91k miles and was in almost show room condition, it had been garage kept its entire life. I also bought it from a used car dealer ($4k from a dealer).
I would say $4k would be a pretty good price for that car, SA SVX just bought a '94 LSI in pretty decent shape for around $3.5k, I dont know the mileage but I know it does have a newer engine with about 50k miles on the engine. the original engine died due to the place the previous owner had the oil changed not tightening down the oil plug, so it worked its way off and the engine drained itself. I recently bought my '95 LSi with 116k miles on it for $3200. It was a "one owner", but it needed paint on the hood and top, and the front axles replaced. I had the whole car painted and with that, and some other things I did, I'm in it about $5500.

I would offer $4000 for it. I picked my 94 LSI up for $3000. 140k miles some paint nicks, few dents. They wanted $3500 but i knocked them 500 because the A/C pump was locked up. The main thing i would say is if you like the car and can afford it, get it. You will rarely get what money you put into a car, thats why cars for the most part are sucky investments. But if your like me and you love the car, then the cost is a after thought.

Value?
I would say between $3000-$3500 depending on closer look at it and how long he is willing to wait for the right buyer. If he is in a hurry it might go for less.
