code 13 ???

i have fault code 13 coming up ont he ecu which indicates no singal from cam angle sensor but signal from crank sensor 1. how can i fix this, i have tried changing the cam angle sensor with one from the wreckers, unless that one was stuffed also, my car was purchased hit at the front and i have repaied the damage but it did not hit the engine, only hit the timing case and the belt appears to be fine. nay helop here would be greatly apprecited guys. cheers for the help

it sounds like there is a broken wire some where get ahold of the wiring diagram for the cam angle sensor and start following the wires to make sure there are no breaks or visable damage also check for continuity between any of the wiring harnesses that are between the computer and the cam sensor... if the wiring checks out ok and you have put a KNOWN good cam sensor in then the computer is malfuncioning....
