There are several SVX's between Frederick and Baltimore (one for sale too), but I don't think any of those people are on the forum. Mine is the same color as yours, but I'm not 45. lol

Welcome to the group, Bart. If you need work done, Heritage Subaru in Owings Mills isn't too far from Perry Hall. They have a good mechanic who knows SVXes. There are plenty of SVXers in the Baltimore area to help you.

Good luck, Ron.

Bart,
Welcome to the network. As Ron mentioned, there are several network members in the MD/Pennsylvania/DEL/NJ/VA/WVa area.

Hello from Cockeysville.

I agree with Ron. I have had a lot of work done at Heritage Subaru. If you go there make sure you talk to Jimmy Schrader.

I think a few folks have used Ron Mummert's paint guy. Talk to Ron before you take your baby anywhere for paint.

The Most knowedgable SVX Master Tech they have there is a young guy named Rick Waterman. He really knows his stuff. Found my problem instantly when two other dealers couldn't.

Ron and I have also the best paint shop in the Baltimore area. Five Star Auto Body, close to BWI airport. Their paint work and color matching is incredible. More information here:

svx1994 paid $2600 in May of this year to have his Barcelona red completely redone.

Check this thread:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...highlight=star

Fours years ago, Ron Mummert paid $2,800.00 for an "excellent" Ebony Mica paint job on his 1992 SVX. This included all "de-dinging", & removing all plastic panels, garnish, door handles, bumpers, wing, mirrors, & sunroof prior to painting. Door jambs & under hood/trunk areas weren't repainted.

The paint still looks as good as the day it left the shop

Sounds good! There are a few quarter sized dents that I'd like to have taken out. Could they paint it the same color? (Claret) Or will it be slightly different?

I had a half dozen minor dings removed. Greg will paint the car ANY color you choose except copper, since Michelle holds the SVX patent on it.

Ron.

Michelle has nothing to worry about because I'd like to keep it Claret.
