pressure on rear suspension and bearings

I was watching my brother and many svx's being driven from a far, and the car literally looks like the front is gonna start flying in the air. I know cars squat under acceleration, but is it supposed to squat THAT much on a svx? makes you wonder why the rear bearings go out so fast. When I drive I can feel the front up so high. I dont think its the rear struts because mines are almost new and it still looks like its flying. just curious, reply your thoughts to this thread. Thanks!

It's an illusion...the rear fenders are not round like the fronts.

the rear struts also have ~1 inch more travel...haven't done the math yet to determine exactly why the Subaru suspension engineers did this...

the fender gaps are more in the front, but when u watch it directly from the back, the rear end slaps down.

maybe that one inch is to add to that meannnnn take off!

The stock rear springs are incredibly soft (only 110 lbs/in). Combine that with a mild compression damping rate, and you get that squat under acceleration.

All the talk of soft suspension, understeer, etc. has me baffled. My JDM has none of this. There must be considerable variations in suspension set up.
