Too bad Harry had hit home by that time it would've made a wonderful video to show SVXrides wife .

"Not many problems yesterday except for the rain messing up the timers.
And one 4th heat SVX driver almost eating wall. The lot was an
interesting configuration though. Very skinny but long. Pretty smooth,
but I believe next time we should sweep the course of debris. Alot of
stuff was being kicked up in the 3rd and 4th heats."

I guess Bill wasn't happy with my alignment skills or lack there of or maybe it was just the chasing of my elusive time that I ran in the rain that he was trying to come within a couple ticks of. Man I wish I could've ran in that 4th heat!
Thanks Ben I've already gotten an earfull from Mrs. SXVRide, since I got home about 2-3 hours later than I had said I was going to (yeah, so much for the "you'll be done by 3:30") and mentioned that my heat ran late ("What? You didn't say you were going to be racing on Sunday" )

Gee, sweeping the course of debris...what a concept! Just because you could practically skate around the course during the course walk....

Alignment skills? I'm getting you two a carpenter's square for Christmas

I did not almost eat the wall! I was just checking out the transient behavior of your steering box I could have just spun it, but that wouldn't have been as much fun

Firstly, despite the fridged monsoon, Gail & I really enjoyed the SVX bonding experience as always - new & old-timers. And, of course, a few or more tugs on the spigot helps seal the bond. Secondly, Budfreak, I hope all's well with your wife.

The garage queen made it home without losing any parts. I filled it today with the cheapest 93 octane on the cheapest multi-station strip I could find. The bill was $43 + bucks for 14.5 gallons. (suicide contemplated). Average mileage was 25 point something for 375 miles. Someday we'll all be reminiscing about that cheap $3.00 p/gallon stuff. The batmobile goes back in the batcave 'til we invade Canada for some Manifest Destinied cheap petrol.

Ron (back to the Nissan & "cheap" 87 octane stuff)

Ron,
you need to try to drag yourself, and the SVX to Cumberland in may!!
I happen to KNOW that it is 126 miles from the Turf Valley, intersection to the Cumberland airport.. The 'antics after the fact' are worth the gas you will burn!! svxfiles told me that his 'trip-meter' showed 444 miles from his driveway to reading, and back!! ( listening to the 'outer limits theme here)
You are a lot closer than that!!! At 25 MPG, I figure that you will have 1/8 th tank left when the closet queen goes back into hybernation!!!!

Come see us!!! We can be FUN!!! If you like hotels, we have them... If you have a tent or camper, we can hook that up too!!!

Jerry

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I looked up and was scared crapless that u were destined for the wall... Ben just looked and started laughing and as soon as you were reasonably under control I started laughing my ass off as well. Ah well. I had a blast just throwing my car around, the rear Bias makes it MUCH more fun.... now if only I could have found where I was supposed to go that would have made my day...

I was in attendance for last year's airport festivities, Jerry, & if Tom fires up the Mimosas, I'll sleep in his crawlspace.

I got home yesterday, boy the weather sure is nice over here in western Colorado!

I'm so glad that I got to see everyone again this year and sorry that I was unable to spend as much time socializing as I would have liked. Maybe in a future year.....

Thanks especially to those of you who assisted with getting me out there, you know who you are.

I haven't even seen her yet! She has been living at her 2nd home since last week, getting another grand worth of stuff done. (Sheesh!)

I shipped axles to myself from Pittsburgh on the way to the airport yesterday morning (thanks Mike!). They should arrive on Friday. I might get her back first part of next week....
