crap... another question (power locks)
okay, so when i bought my car, i was told the power locks did not work, and he had removed the lock solenoid from the drivers door... he gave me the "broken" part for reference if i decided to fix it..... now i really think this guy doesnt know what he's talking about, since it was his wifes car and not his so i'll explain
he didnt have the remote key fob... and when he showed me the power locks were out he hit the "power window lock" button, which makes me think, the locks worked fine, but he didnt have the remote, and i can just put the solenoid back in the door and find a remote to reprogram.... or do the solenoids go bad often???? maybe i'm wrong plz help, i'm confused... thanks -drew |

I would try putting it back in and getting another remote. They do go out sometimes, but not all that often.

If he was pushing the window lock button, he really had no clue what he was doing, and no reason to remove it in the first place. You can try and put it back in (assuming he didn't mess something up while removing it).
