BTW, gmail has free POP3. Most other "free" emails charge for that.

The maximum number of invites any one person could accrue used to be 6. I just looked and I have 50. Yikes.

Yep. Free POP3. When I'm on the road without my laptop, I check it via my phone. If you have a Palm device that has internet capability, you can buy Snappermail Premium edition and get email on your Palm. It ain't cheap though - $50. Cheaper options include reinstalling it every 30 days after the demo period expires.

Holy cow! I was just looking at my gmail and saw that I now have 50 to give away. Quite the jump in number.

No spyware that I have ever heard of. I have ad-aware pro running and nothing associated with gmail or was ever found. There is nothing installed on your PC to use it either. My main reason for loving it is that I have yet to have one piece of SPAM come to my address. They do awesome filtering! I have never had a piece of legitimate email I was expecting get blocked either. It is easy to organise mail and has more features than any other free email service I have used. POP3 is a huge bonus as well and I need to start using it.

Aside from that, every person I have offered an account has used it and sings nothing but praise for it. If you have not used it yet, give me your email addy and I will forward an invite to you.

Johnny

No spyware, but I think you are referring to privacy concerns. Some privacy advocates have serious (and no so serious) questions about gmail. If you want a summary of issues, check this link:
