I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Chris,
Good job! Did you get to talk to the guy driving the SVX? I looked at the course layout and I'm really surprised they set it up so straight into the finish -- did you have a lot of people smokin' their brakes once they crossed the finish line?
I would love to have driven this course!

The course was AWESOME!!! I loved it!! In the WRX, I was in 2nd gear almost all the time and even went back into 1st once... I hit 65mph once and some of the more powerful STi's were well into the 70's!!... The WRX that I drove was a 2002 with the following mods:

-- Version 7 STi Struts
-- Prodrive Springs
-- Stainless Steel Brake Lines (Pulled the ABS Fuse )
-- Carbon Fiber 22B replica wing
-- Magnaflow Muffler

**No Engine Mods**

Here's the kicker though.... He had Falken Azenis ST115's on the front and Toyo Proxy FZ4's (sp?) on the rear.... To say the least, the car was EXTREMLY tail happy!!! The video that I have of my runs show me sliding through the two major turns like I'm in a drift competition or something It was a blast!!!

Yea the last part of the course was alittle straight. It was set alittle diffrent than the picture shows it... It was meant to benifit the High powered cars (ie. Porter's "Classic Subaru" STi Beast!!!). Also what made it difficult was the elevation change and the banking of some of the turns on the course... I have a great picture of Porter drifting through the last set of cones... He said that the STi was SO STRONG that he couldn't go to full throttle at any point on the track or he would kick the rear end out!!! 400 crank Hp will do that!!!

As for the car that I drove... It was completly stock (on the Power Side), But was a Blast to drive!!! Just for the suspension!! It was set up perfectly for the power that it had!! Now if it had had more power then I would have wanted a stiffer suspension and DEFINITLY better tires!!

More pictures on the way later tonight!!!
