haha shade tree mechanic

Well after coming out of the pet store with my kittens food I look under my MX-6 to see a nice puddle of the green stuff. I was like GREAT. I keep coolant in the back of the car i pour about a half gallon in and it runs out the side. DOH. I take it home (literally a 1 minute drive) i let it cool off and go do some reaseach. I come back out poor some water in and watch for the leak. Its coming from the side of the block. I find out thats where the water pump is. I go look up a how to on the water pump. i hit autozone up for a new tbelt tbelt tensionor and a pump. Come home to my apartment with a flash light and starting working on my car in the apartment parking lot. HAHA. I work and making noise till abotu 10pm in the dark and everything. I got it done and was a PAIN. My neighbors came over and said I thought you where a computer guy. LOL. I am cool with everyone at my complex and its a really nice place to live which makes it that much more weird to see a guy with his car jacked up a motor half out and him hold a wrench and a flash light working on it.

Don't roll your eyes at me. I am not exactly happy that it happened and I went back in and ask them to hose it down. I can't EXACTLY control that. It happens its a parking lot and you park cars in it. I only use pet safe antifreeze.

How does that compare to the regular stuff?

i haven't ran it in my SVX yet. So car specific i am not sure. but i used it on my mirage and it never seemed to get hot even with the FMIC blocking some of the radiator. i have herd that it doesn't cool as well thought. however MX-6 is my daily and has zero performance mods so i think its plenty safe to run in it.
