electrical weirdness

Hey all! I was having major electrical problems. P/S surging, ABS turning off and on. Shift lock solonoid clicking. I searched and searched, trying fuses, measuring voltage drops. Finally took it into the dealer. They spent several hours and then finally, accidentally found that the battery ground to chassis right at the base of the battery tray was bad. It's the only place on my car which has corroded, and it corroded so bad that the connection was only visual. Keep it in mind.

a good tip. my last car had the battery in the trunk, so when electrical gremlins popped up, i'd check grounds first, fuses second.

Since we're talking electrical weirdness, I hope someone can help me with this one....

When I try to lower my window, nothing moves and I here a noise coming from the switch. It doesn't happen all the time (so it’s not the fuse), some times everything is fine!!! When it happens though, I noticed that the same "noise" also comes from the sunroof switch and it doesn't move or verrrry slowly..... Like if there was not enough voltage.....

I suspect a bad ground.... Does anybody knows if the windows and sunroof share the same ground? If yes, where is that grounding point? Or could it be the battery ground? Any other ideas?

I need help!
Thanks

Well I would assume that everything on the car shares the same ground (battery ground). Check there then work your way down

Thanks a lot!

As I suspected, they share the same grounding point.... under the passenger's seat. The connection must be corroded.... Now if can only find the time to remove the seat.....

Thanks again!
