I started on the KC Club forums, then the Yahoo SVX Club and finally posted on the network on 3/12/01(I snuck in before the grand opening) . Some of you oldsters may remember that I was known as larry iii on Yahoo. I am still 'bipostual', Ron. I would be 'tripostual', if the KC forums still existed.

I think that the first eastern SVX meet was in Wash. DC. I believe it was about 1 1/2 years before the Liberty State Park SVX Meet and was hosted by the founder of the Yahoo SVX club. Remind me to ask SVXIT (Olu) at Reading.

Started poking around the KC site where I learned about the famous o-ring fix. Joined the Yahoo Site about the same time (Aug '99) and started spreading the o-ring gospel there.

I "ambushed" a couple of Yahoo members before I bought my car to ask their opinions. It's funny -- I got this PM from one of them, in Nov. '01:

"WOW. I can't believe you are like an SVX guru now! I do recall when you first IM'd me about the car. I'm glad you really enjoy it. It's a wonderful car. Hate to say it, but, I told you so. LOL.

I'm member #3 on the network forums (after Admin and Chris, which are the same, and SVXpowerman {dunno how he beat me

}).

I visited Yahoo after the first of the year to say hello to my old friends there. I got no response from them.

Larry III did acknowledge my appearance with a PM here, but, apparently, nobody wants me back at Yahoo. That's okay. My FAMILY is here.

And I am member 520, even though I have been around much longer than most others here, I didnt find this place for a long time as I was spending most of my time in the Persian Gulf...

Again, that number is skewed, since Admin and Chris are basically the same. Admin/Chris (=1). SVXpowerman (=2). Aredubjay (=3).

I was there on Yahoo a long while back and all of the sudden it was being in a dark room. I waited for ya'll to come back and when that didn't happen had to go find ya. Hence my not quite oldtimer status on this board.

I guess # 381 isn't too bad

Whoah that little member number trick is interesting.

Looking at the member list and sorting by date joined is interesting too though, looking at the first couple of pages there are so many names there that are probably unfamiliar to almost everyone. Wonder what happened to them all.

Click on your "profile", allow it to come up on the screen and then look at the "address" for the internet at the top of your browser. It's the number at the very end of the web link - I was also initially confused. Must be a product of our agev - of course, you are MUCH older than me. BTW, Randy must be creeping up on us with his "math"
