Good god! I want to move to Alaska, the land of ice cold engine bays!!

first of all NikFu your telling me that since you live in Alaska that your cars engine doesnt get hot? Even if the temperature there is cool, your engine will still make the air under the hood hot therfore sucking in hot air. hmm.. alaskan engines are ice cold. And how the hell do you have a half open throttle body? Good god. Also 155MphGuy what the hell is that R racing POS in your locker. Terrible..

Engines, no matter where you are still produce heat in the engine bay. Your sucking hot air in regardless of the temp outside the hood.

And as for how it looks , It was beautification additions prepping it for sale for the fact a new one was coming in. Poor kids these days , So feeble minded about vehicles. Just cause it had an XR sticker or two on it makes it a POS , Sad really. The vehicles speed , power and potential don't come from it's looks.

As for your little retort about friction , cold air and engine bays. It's true , You could drive all day long and lift your hood and not feel any heat rise from it. Yes , The block / Core may get up to 160-210 , Which ever , But the thing is , all externals stayed air cooled by the extremely low temperatures. In fact...Winter time even freezes anti-freeze. So run your mouth , Err Fingers. It doesn't matter. You lack the intellect.

also, how the heck is your SVX running a 14.9 with a "half open throttle body", and an Ebay "performance chip" keeping your engine alive. What does it have done to it? It most be friction less alaska that produces these numbers from a seamingly beat engine.

that throttle body thing was explained to me by someone that knew what he was talking about. forget about it. i never said ice cold engine bay. if you didnt know air comes from OUTSIDE the bay as well. from the front, under the engine, and through where the old filter used to be. its called circulation and if my filter sucks hot air what do you think is replacing what just got sucked in? cool air that hasnt the time to get heated.

use your frickin brain and stop gettin jealous that i pull better performance from my X than you.

NikFu, your stock pipe to your fender is sitting above where the new cone filter is. The stock pipes to the fender are also way to small for air to just ram through there cooling the angine bay. The cone filter is sucking in hot engine bay air. The stock airbox sucks in the cold air from the fender well. Also Im still wainting on the list of mods to get your SVX to a 14.9

for the very last time, i run 14.9 under these conditions:

perfect fluid levels
no passengers
everything tuned properly (which is not currently the case)
2wd

edit: hey ed, what did my xt6 run? whatever it was i smashed it by 2 seconds right?

perfect fluid levels? What the hell?
Does your Windshield wiper spray have to be topped off.
did you yank out the whole interior?
What are you tunning?
Just curious

first off, nobody believes this but i get better accel with a full tank of gas.
my oil leaks.
my tranny fluid evaporates (burns).
my dif needs to be checked every so often.
my ps pump operates eradically.
i almost never use wiper spray. i removed nothing but the a/c components, and sometimes i take out my subs.

as for tuning i just mean that everything is not off spec.
