I tried to remove the ugly bracket from mine the other day and the screw head stripped on the dang thing. Couldn't get it to budge at all. Before I go and drill the sucker out, what exactly is behind it for the screw to go into? Is it a plastic piece that is threaded or is it metal?

If it was only plastic it would come out.

Tailgaters huh, I never have that broblem? I do have Chicane's broblem thoe, There just out to get me.

I'mm looking to get in order of pref.

SVX*007
STOLIN (stolen is taken)
BRNGIT (we only get 6 letters)
DRUNK (just kidding but it looked funny on CTs keep kids safe plate)
DRVFST (also looks good on the keep kids safe)

Front plates suck, you can't really tell when you're being tailgated. there always to close.

It's metal. The reason I know was because I ATTEMPTED to drill mine out... but the heat caused the metal piece behind the bumper to heat up, and then it got REAL hot, and MELTED my freaking bumper. So now I have this gaping melted hole in my front bumper about the size of a nickel. Luckily, it's in the recessed portion of my bumper, so you can't see it.

Cartags

I knew I guy in college who had "BEERUN" on his Jeep.

Cop: "That's an interesting car tag you have there, sonny."

Donovan: "My Dad is an Apairist."

Cop: "A what?"

Donovan: "He is a bee keeper. The tag reads bee run."

Metal, huh? Grrrr...I wonder if those Craftsman "stripped screw" removing bits work. Looks like it might be time to find out.

I doubt it. It's not that, its the fact that the screw was rusted to the metal backing piece... and the harder you turn the front screw, the more force you put on the backing piece.

Kinda annoying. I had just gotten it home and melted a hole in the bumper.
