No horn along with shift lock issues
I've seen where people replace the horn fuse to resolve this, but not in my case.
I have no horn. I can hear the relay clicking, but no horn. In fact, I can't even find the horn under the hood. I can't remember where to look, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I have some Legacy horns to try, if I can find the wiring. Additionally, my shift lock isn't unlocking about 80% of the time. I have to use the button to release it. Ya think these are these indiv. problems or separate? Where is the blasted horn located?? I checked all the fuses under the hood and afoot visually and for continuity so I'm pretty sure that's not it. Steve |

Re: No horn along with shift lock issues
Horns are on the driver's side, directly in front of the battery and behind the headlight.
A black, double disc diaphragm type, about 3 1/2" in diameter.

Re: No horn along with shift lock issues
Thanks for the tip. I found the two disconnected cables dangling behind the headlights. I'll go from there.

Re: No horn along with shift lock issues
I plugged in my two Legacy horns like they were the ones that came out and still no sound.
Any ideas? |

Re: No horn along with shift lock issues
Oops. I forgot that they ground through their bodies. So I bolted them down and they sound pathetic, but they DO SOUND.
Probably need a shift lock interface for the other. Oh well, one thing at a time. |
