Oil Pressure Gauges
I have long been thinking about getting one of these for my SVX especially for after I build my motor and start running some bigger horse power numbers.
I just wanted to get everyone's take on whether they like it or not. or if they have any other suggestions of ones they already have and like using. Also, I was curious if this particular gauge was compatible with the hydra for logging purposes or not? Tom?? It says it's compatible with most aftermarket ecu's. Is this one compatible or is it similar to the wideband and hydra is only compatible with their stuff??? The one I'm looking at is made by AEM you can see it here |

Re: Oil Pressure Gauges
i've got an autometer oil psi gauge along w/ trans temp.
they work great and are easy to read. installing the sender was the tough part. exactly why would you wanna log you psi? if you're afraid of not enough psi, install an something like moroso oil accumulator.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauges
Dude, you don't need to data log the oil pressre of the engine... It is more or less a way to see if something has gone wrong or if the oil is overheating and losing viscosity.
Prosport makes a nice digital analog gauge and also Mad Dad makes nice ones too. Check Mad Dad for the oil galley adapter so yo don't have any installation isses Tom |
