tire question
wonder what you guys think about using two different brands of snows.both sets are the same size(stock) and both are winter tires with similar tread patterns so i wouldn't think it would be tough on the diffs or am i wrong? thanks dennis

Re: tire question
don't know... but if that was what I had I wouldn't be afraid to use them.
Might check to see if the information is available on each brand for the circumference measurement, or just measure them yourself with a tape measure? Keith |

Re: tire question
The standard answer is that if you change tires, you must change all at the same time, not 2 on front and not change back ones. If there are different tire treads, that is also a no no. I would not do it, and I think many others here would not either. It is up to you though.

Re: tire question
I've got 2 different sets of snows but when I measured them all four tires are less than 1/4" different in circumference. I think that's the main issue.

Re: tire question
thanks to all. i guess i'll just put on 4 of the same.now i'm wondering how big a difference in circumference would be to be a problem.ie. 1/4" 1/2"?

Re: tire question
1/4" is the magic number I've heard.
