Life strange surprises...

2 Days later after i got the pulley replaced..... i went with my family looking to buy a new truck, Next to one of those truck dealerships was Honda, my father loves hondas, and he wanted to take a 'peak' at them... well, after seeing them he told me that if i was willing to trade in the SVX for a honda he would pay the diff of the new car..
I had to think it twice, but i gave in and got a new 5 speed 02 accord ex (leather) at a great price after trade in (18k out the door)

Even though my svx was starting to be a money pit (3k invested in repairs) it was hard to let go.

so, im svx-less for now.. if i get an other svx in the future it will be a 5speed or late model/low miles.

Ill still come and go to the forum to keep up with my daily reading

- why is it so hard to let go of this car?

That is very true. A friend of mine recently traded his SVX on a Maxima, and is already looking for a new SVX again. There is NO OTHER car made that comes close to the SVX. Period.

People who by Maximas buy into the whole 'four-door sports car' marketing thing.

With, I'm sure, plenty of exceptions, it's an asshole car.

Now, I haven't driven a current Maxima, but my father has owned two. I've driven them and I wasn't really that impressed...
