should i sell?

my tranny (auto) is out, it slips from 2-3 and 3-4, so i did a 5spd, should, and would there be a market for me to sell the bad tranny, tcu, flex plate, torque converter....or should i just junk it?

Good question. I'm going to be replacing my tranny myself very shortly - I wonder what I should do with the old one...

You just described my tranny. It doesn't flare but it does hesitate. I just adjusted my driving style to let off the gas a bit between those shifts.

Once my stereo is paid off then I'll start saving up for a 5 spd.

As for whether to sell/junk the auto keep this in mind - a dealership here in Winnipeg quoted me $1000+ for a new TCU!

I'm still trying to convince my wife that a barn or nice big garage is an essential when looking at a house. The last one we looked at had a garage big enough for a Peterbuilt. I drooled.

Seriously if you have the space to keep it 15 years from now there will be 1000 happy collectors around. Remember the Triumph Stag? Know how much an original is worth compared to one with a GM conversion engine?
