WRX diff question
I just picked up a '03 WRX tranny, seats, and steering wheel for $550 off of nasioc . The tranny does not have 1st gear but that will be taken care of shortly. My question is now what rear diff do I look for because I read something in Huck's write-up about needing a specific rear diff with the bolts on the sides?

Right. Keep the stock SVX rear diff with the WRX tranny.

el stocko diffo the wrx tranny has reduction gear 1.1:1 so it keeps the same diff as the svx.

Did you get it from the guy I was talking to?? He wanted $300 for the trans because of a busted 1st gear?? Well... I have a deal to strike up with you if not... PM me about the X-member and maybe we can make something work

I did, I think. I waited until you said that it was too far though. What's the deal?

I was gonna say, if you would get that trans and bring it down here I would give you the X-member for free... I really wanted that to rebuild but didn't have the time to get up there

I don't think I can do a drive to Philly. I only paid 250.- for the tranny and it's of more value than an x-member. I leave for India in two weeks and have a ridiculous amount of stuff to do between now and then. I barely have enough time to make my trip to get the tranny and seats that I bought.
