I think the sunroof drains down the B pillars, so I doubt that water is causing any shorts around the dash area or the ECU. It sounds like the ACC wire is shutting off like it's supposed, but not the IGN wire. Like I said, get under the steering column and try disconnecting the ignition harness next time. If the car dies immediately, then you know the problem is with the ignition switch.

Thanks. Great pictures and description of how to do it. I will probably not be able to tackle it until the weekend.

Actually it has 4 drains...1 in each "A" pillar and 1 in each "B" pillar. When I checked mine I had 2 of the 4 drain hoses out of place (not draining outside the car). It's actually the reason for the rust on one panel.

Where do I look to find the drains and hoses?

The front ones are behind the kick panels (behind all the wiring).

The rear ones are in the trunk behind the side panels.

Just guessing.

If there is water on the floor, it may be shorting the ABS comp, that is under the seat. This may be feeding the power back into the ign circuit?

Harvey.
