Poll!!! Two Or One Tone??

which do you prefer?? also, is it color dependent??

Mike, you need to add "color dependent" as an option. But I think it is. I prefer two tone...black on black

I was suprised at the results. Mine is two tone and I wish it wasn't, I love it no matter what though. I've actually thought of a paintjob in the future.

My preferred paint combos:
Black over Red
Black over Pearl
Black over Polo

I have black over pearl white and I love it. Double0bondo and myself painted another SVX at our bodyshop pearl white over pearl white and it just doesn't look right. It looks like it's far too plain. Almost like it's missing something. I really think that the black over pearlie looks much more complete than the pearlie over pearlie. Just my opinion.

I like the Pearl & Black.
My second choice is Bordeaux Pearl all over.

With a single colour you are made more aware of the overall shape of the car. This could be described as chunky, or chubby if it did not have the smart lines over the rear flared arches.

Mine is black over claret, and I like it a lot. It works well with the dark colours.

I also like black over silver, a Giugiaro trademark. All the cars at our 10th Anniversary meet were two-tone, with the exception of Phil and Angies [Sorry!! Angie's!] all-black metallic. Real nice colour, could live with that, even with all the cleaning involved.

As an improvement on mine, I would imagine the car would look good with the roof black, but the boot[trunklid] painted up to claret. This should look really well with darkened glass, which would really make the canopy disappear.

The only colour I am lukewarm about is red. It's a bit brash. "Look at meeeee !!" All the other colours are superb, particularly the greens.

Mine's black over claret, and I really like it, probably better than any other combination or solid.

But I gotta admit, there's something about black over pearl.
