Thanks, that cap looks perfect. The stock SVX cap is about 15 PSI. Maybe 14?

The cap looks good, better than a VanGogh'ed stock cap would...If the bushings are cut down, would the cap with ears work?
Another thought, these are good looking radiators, but it looks like a coolant leak will discolor it quickly. I wonder if a few coats of something like Dupli-color wheel clear coat would protect it, or is the temperature too high?

Engine enamel would work well. My block has stood up to the heat very well with the engine enamel I used. ATF though, not so much...

The main problem is that the polished aluminum surface of that radiator would have minimum adhesion properties; no much to bite into. Plus the finish you would achieve would not be a smooth as the polished finish. It it were to chip, touchup would be next to impossible. I would use either aluminum or mag wheel polish to address coolant leak discoloration if any.

the stock cap is 13psi, i would be cautious using a 19-20psi cap because it is intentionally the weak link in the system. when the pressure rises above 13 it vents off some coolant to the overflow and sucks it back in when the coolant cools down. I haven't seen any svx problems but have seen higher pressure caps make a potentially weak part of the cooling system (mainly headgaskets and water pumps) fail. especially on subarus
