I'm so old that I got start thinking about how to fit a boxer 4 onto my new future wheelchair. Talk about zoom zoom, just imagine the 0-60 times! Of course I'd need the mobile home theater set up too! With a minimum 24" wide screen, Quad core w/8Gig & blu ray, PS3 and 5.1 surround.

You old farts with the flat four turbo wheelchairs will be a serious hazard on the sidewalks.

I'm getting on myself. Thinking seriously about getting automatically dropping stabilizers on my bike.

that's not even funny

David is a junior in college, told me he was playing in a 'flag-football' league. Cool, I coached him and his brothers for three years in flag-football, not-that-long-ago. I played quarterback in the scrimmages. Anyway, I said that I wished that I could play flag ball, he said that I couldn't, saying, "we don't have a 'wheel chair' league"

Hi,

At our Reno meet, you spoke of 30mpg, first I'd heard of anyone getting so high. When you got 30, cruise control?, 70-75? what were the circumstances?

Re: 30 mpg svx

I saw 30 mpg in my 33K 1995 L AWD (sold) on the 12 hour trip from Baltimore to Detroit. Beautiful day (sunny and 75 during the trip) so I kept the windows up and had the AC on sporadically. Since I was running plateless () I kept the cruise at 70mph and just enjoyed the ride.

I was unable to repeat that mileage but also never came across those exact conditions again. I did see many trips in the 26-28mpg range though.

I've only recently returned to driving my 147k '92 with a WRX 5 speed (3.90 effective final drive ratio). With a mix of highway and city driving I've seen 22-24mpg and with mostly city driving I've seen 18-20mpg. I do push her a bit though

My instances of 30 mpg, it was with cruise set at about 80-85.
Penny is feeling her age, she's not getting the greatest mileage anymore...or maybe she's mad at me for making her a garage queen!

Not enough long 'cruise control' trips to return that type of mileage
Maybe it has something to do with the copper color
