Front seats removal

I can't find a how to on removing the front seats? any idea? is it pretty straight forward?
Do I need to have a battery in the car to retract the driver seat or is there a manual way to move it?

If you take pictures as you do it, and give me some instructions, I can do a How-To on it. If your seats a manual, you don't need a battery to move them, but the drivers seat is controlled by the switches that need the battery. The passengers seat just needs to be pushed forward and the seat will move back and forward.

There are 6 bolts that hold in each seat (if I remember right) and the harness is just unclipped. Very easy. Good luck and you can email me the pictures and instructions by clicking on the links in my signature. Thanks

Let me know if you find the 6th bolt--I seem to have misplaced it.

Actually I think there are only 5 bolts on each seat. Two (2) that hold the outside mounting brackets and three (3) that hold the inside brackets. Be careful taking the little covers off or you will break the tabs.

Yeah I think 5 as well....Move the seat back as much as possible to remove the front two bolts, then move the seat all the way forward to remove the back two bolts and the one bolt mounted to the center consel.
I would then raise the seat up if it's electric and unplug the harness before you lift the seat out...
No battery needed if you follow this.

Watch you don't strain your back too...the seat can be heavier than you think.

I will stress that when you put the seats back in that you do not crossthread the bolts. This is really easy to do and the consequences are nasty.

Basically if you can't screw the bolt all the way in by fingers it's not straight. If you get frustrated with one move to another and/or try a different bolt in that spot.
