184k SVX for short money with newly rebuilt trans...worth it?

I have a lead on a 184k miles SVX with a rebuilt transmission from 1000 miles ago. He said he changed the belts and water pump last year, and he is asking 2500 for it. It was recently leaking oil but he fixed that...Is this a good deal? I may only end up keeping it for the winter and getting something different in the spring...at this price would it be easily resellable in the spring for around the same or not too much loss?? What should I look out for when I go to look at it? I read about wheel bearings but that's all I know... Thanks!

It is worth the price, considering what he is asking for it, is probubly not much more then what it cost him for the tranny.
