Leaving in an hour or so. Car is prepped and ready, shinney and pretty. Just need to do our build sheet and hit the road. Shirts are on the way to all that have ordered 'em. If you didn't but still want one post here by Sunday for the second batch of 'em. They look great! Post your size. They are $20 a piece and go directly to helping on our top 5 finish (cross your fingers!!!!)

Strange. I thought the value of the car had to be less then $2006. I'm pretty sure a 1969 Barracuda is going for alot more than that. Unless it is completely rusted out.

just talked to Ben.....(@3pm) and they were about 25 or so miles away from Gainsville!!!!! They left last night at about 11p and have had a pretty good trip so far.

Just got off the phone with Ben (@4:30) and they (Ben & Dave) got there safely. They were getting ready to go over and register.
Ben did tell me that they were not able to pull together a NO2 system, so they'll be doing the 1/4 NA. He also said that they'll be posting as soon as Dave can find a wireless network he can use.

Dave called. They made it in 1 piece (almost had an accident due to a run-away lighter...damn smokers) They are at the hotel polishing the car, drinking and hanging out with the other Grassroot peeps. He wanted me to put up a pic, but it didn't go through the phone yet.

Will keep everybody updated.

Thanks for all the well wishes, we're enjoying the hospitality of a friend we know from the XT6 board (Austin's brother Christian)

The trip went well, a few minor things. First impression is some great cars and some great people. Down to earth and full of passion towards the car they brought. We'll be AXing tomorrow and Dragging on Saturday.

There is a possibility of "renting" a NOS system from another competitor. So we'll see???

Again thanks to all for the support that helped to get us here, we truly appreciate the family that has helped to get us here.

edit... Currently Ben and I are truly appreciating what we have left of a case of Stegmier Porter
