Unhappy Ftiday the 13th hit me too!

Well, Road Demon just had an unfortunate meeting with a telephone pole as I had to avoid someone running a red light. The rear quarter, Front fender, turn signal and rad support is shot. I guess I'm one screwed dude now as this was my only ride. I'm gonna take it to the shop tomorrow and see how much it will be to fix it considering I have all the parts and so on. I don't know what else to say right now except I'm screwed.

You got that right. I'm sorry about your car! At least you have a parts car. I hope you get it fixed. Do you have pics of the damage?

I'll have pics tomorrow, But trust me it's gruesome. I want to throw up just thinking about it. I'm so sad right now that I don't know what to do with myself.

i feel your pain, they totaled mine with just the radiator and a lower radiator support needing to be replaced, but if i provided the parts i coulda had it fixed up for $600 fortunately i got enough from the insurance company to buy another one.

im sure if you have the parts it wouldnt be too terrible, except body work, that wouldnt be cheap, if the insurance will do it that is... otherwise it might be cheaper to get another svx if you find one in the area... personally with a '92 id probly be looking for another svx once i hit the at $2500-$3000 in repair bills .... and use the 3 of them to make one kickass one.

Jason, what a blow to your new threads, I would make use of your new wheels….No, really it hurts to think about this…I cannot imagine the pain your going through….are you okay? Was your wife with you? I hope both of you are not injured in anyway. I just feel awful about your ride. Can you and Marty fix it?

Sorry to hear about the car man. From the mood on the network it was a bad day for SVXi. I had a stroke of my own bad luck, after 140 some rain free days it started raining tonight and will continue into tomorrow. Me being the genius I am I'm still rolling around on my AutoX tires/wheels. Might be an interesting commute tomorrow AM.

Thanks for the concern guys and gals. My buddy Paul was with me and we are both fine, I'm just emotionally ****ed right now. I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow to see what the cost of labor will be to fix the car with parts from my parts car. It won't be too cheap considering they have to do a rear quarter panel, But I refuse to let my car die as I've come too far with it in too short of time to give up now. Road Demon will be back, Granted maybe not till spring, But it will be back and better than ever.

Here's some pics of the carnage. Sorry my camera sucks, But I think they are good enough to get the point across. I straightened somethings out and removed the headlight and grill before taking pics.

And here's a few more.
I won't be able to take it to the shop till monday for an estimate, But chances are I'll have an SVXer off the network here do the work since I know we have some talented body people out there that care about this car as much as me. Any body guys out there want to make some money?

If it still drives straight, my vote goes to fixing it.

I don't remember how well it drove, But I think I remember the wheel being cocked to the right going down the road. I suspect it's from the wheels smacking the curb and it knocked the allignment out. Nothing seems bent or anything as the rear control arms are straight and everything in the front looks straight too. Worse case scenario is the pass. side frame rail got tweaked a little, But I'll have it straightened if it must be. If worse really comes to worse I have 2 other cars that I could swap all the parts with and bring one of them to life as Road Demon II. I'm just trying to keep my hopes high and take it as it comes I guess.

i expected it to look alot worse, still wouldnt be cheap to fix, especially a 92, you just decide if putting the same money into fixing it that you would buying another one is worht it to you. it definately looks fixable

For as long as the frame isn't really damaged, I'll fix it. Like I said, I have all the parts, that's not a problem at all. I just have to pay for labor. I'll find out tomorrow what I can get it fixed for locally. I'm also hoping some SVXer's with body skills will come forward too.
