Any SVX owners from ALASKA?

I got to thinking and was wondering if there is anyone else here on the forums that is from Alaska and still lives within the area. Let me know. Thanks.

Me, Khalil, Mission, and two guys from Fairbanks but they haven't posted in a long time.
I'm the only real regular and I've been here the longest.

Well basically like transmissions, Engine, and stuff that you really cant do without a garage. Just regular maintenece is not need but like internal problems. Not that I have any but just a reference.

For engine stuff I have been using FATS for about 7 years. They have a lot of H block experience.
For transmission I'd try out Specialized Import Auto Service on W International. They do most of the Subarus in town due to their clout on NASIOC. I've never used them but other people swear by them and I intend to have them fix my AWD whenever I get around to that.
For purely electrical service I'd go to Auto Electric.
If you ever need to fabricate engine parts Midtown Machine is the place to go.
Youngs Gear will handle drivetrain related fabbing.
Muffler City for wheels and exhaust. Muffler City will actually cut you a better deal on wheels than Tirerack, and Tirerack has the lowest shipping to AK that I have seen as far as internet ordering.

Oh and this just popped up http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1081151

Apparently http://www.hotsubarus.com/ is offering free shipping to Alaska on +$20 orders for the weekend.
I've never heard of the site but it might be worth a look.

This is kinda funny: "Free ground shipping to all 50 US states only THIS INCLUDES OUR FRIENDS IN ALASKA AND HAWAII!"

FedEx offers ground shipping to Hawaii and a few other islands as well.

I just think it's funny that in order for a package to get to it's destination it will have to leave the ground at some point to cross the Pacific ocean.

It's the same for Alaska. They don't cut through Canada to get to Alaska.
